you are enough

We as women will have to navigate in a lifetime the way in which we see ourselves. We will learn to connect with intuition & hope it keeps us safe. We accept lower wages while doing more. As leaders we will be undermined & questioned by mediocre people. As mothers some of us will be the vessel in which our children grow. All the while whispering prayers that we make through the birth to meet our babies. While other women harness science to help in conception, adopt and by circumstance welcome children into their lives. We nurture & love & protect while juggling very full lives. Women are sacred beings who accept less when they are more because sometimes that’s all that can be done. We build community. Tend to others and build the unimaginable

I think a lot about what a society based on equality would look like. And how much illuminated all of us would be if we knew we are enough.
