materials & process

rayo & honey pennants and totes are hand crafted from natural sustainable materials. I have intently chosen to work with natural 100% Cotton canvas because it is my favorite textile. Grown from the from the earth, harvested and spun into the soft fabric we know and love, cotton is biodegradable and returns to the soil, enriching it when our use for it comes to an end.

Totes and pennants are constructed to wear well over out time. Each piece is hand cut, pieced, pressed and machine sewn in small batches.

The same black 100% Cotton twill is used for both hang strings on pennants and zipper pulls on totes. 

Letters are die cut felt that are affixed with heat. Hand sticks are hand cut and sanded Baltic birch wood sourced from sustainable and renewable forests in the USA and abroad.
